Welcome

Journal Entry: Sat Sep 16, 2006, 8:34 AM

Prologue

I needed a change of pace so I decided to change the design of my journal... However, since I'm constantly pressed for time I decided to browse around for a design to use... this particular design was created by  detail24 & was coded by ginkgografix. So go check out their work!

Eventually, when I get some extra time, I'll be designing my own, since I am indeed a designer. haha

Epilogue

Don't let the world bring you down. Not everyone here is that fucked up and cold. Remember why you came and while you're alive, experience the warmth before you grow old.

Did you get that Rev drive?
Am curious about your opinion on it.

I used to use the Iomega Jazz drives way back when. They were 2 gb of very fragile storage. The disks were kinda expensive too. My job was using them to back up ghosted images but the disks ended up losing data. Put it in a desk, come back 2 months later and you can't read the drive. Zip disks were more reliable. I have a backup USB drive now and I plan to burn stuff to CD roms or DVD.

Magnetic media can't be trusted for archival purposes, except maybe backup tapes.

No, I never got the REV drive, I think I'm going to wait until next year for when it comes down in price a little. I have a computer technician as an instructor and he has one though. He said it was the best back-up system he's ever used and it's worth the money. But $400 is a lot of money.

Who makes the Rev drive?
I hope its not Iomega. They make cheap stuff but they seem to get sued too often.
Remember hearing about the "Click of death" for the zip drives.

Yes, it's Iomega... I'm not familair with the "click of death" what is it?

Its a malady in which previously friendly zip drives would turn on their owners. Drives would act fine until you get the click and then the drive is dead meat. Think there was a class action suit against Iomega because people thought that the company knew about the flaw and did not fix it. Think it was during the 90's when zip drives got popular.

interesting. Well, hopefully Iomegagot their priorities straightened, and made this drive better. I've seen a lot of good reviews, so maybe it's alright

I love your site it's amazing. You are very very talented...and Alexis On Fire is an awesome band I saw them live once :D they were great. I too write a lot of poetry and I am getting better I gues you could say some of it is more just um crap. :) but sorry definatly keep up the great work.

okay just because you made that comment about your poetry being crap, I was compelled to go to your gallery and read 4 pieces... and there is nothing wrong with them. in fact you do a wonderful job of expressing yourself. you probably only think they are crappy because you wrote them. I do the same thing with my designs.. after I put so much work into them I look at them and get all questionable. but it's natural!

haha yeah definatly. I mean there are some that I work on 8 times before I put them up and I still don't like them. But then there are some that I am really proud of and those are the ones that I write down and never touch again. like hmmm Faded Glories and My Forever Star. those were really just some I didn't think about being my best works and they ended up being that way...but yeah thank you :D
